The Clermont County Park District and the Friends of the Jennie Wade are hosting a Fall Back Into Time event on Saturday October 10 at Chilo Lock 34 Park. Visitors can meet 11 historical reenactors representing historical characters of the Ohio River Valley Region. The event is a fundraiser for various local historical societies and museums. Visitors will have the opportunity to cast a $1 vote for their favorite historical character, with the proceeds benefitting the characters, chosen organization. For more information visit www.fallbackintotime.com
Children can join in on the historical theme by making clay marbles, the old fashioned way from 10:00 - 11:00 am. From 11:00 am - noon, musician Steve Free will be doing an educational program with children and teaching the lyrics of some of his songs. Free will perform an outdoor concert in the park at 1:00 pm. Steve's music is an ecclectic mix of country, folk, and rock, inspired by his Native American and Appalachain heritage.
BB Riverboats will be offering fall sightseeing cruises between Chilo, OH and Augusta, KY during the event as well. Guests can choose a roundtrip cruise, or a one way cruise to Augusta, and enjoy the Turning of the Leaves Festival.
